Autumn Classic - 2020
Sunday , Oct. 18, brought 77 shooters together for a 100 target Sporting Clay's event.
The top shot of the day went to Jason Bartlett who broke 90 of a possible 100 targets, great shooting Jason. The "Old Gun " division was won by Steve Murphy breaking 85 of his 100 targets. Jason and Steve will have their names engraved on the "Joe Blackman Trophy". The remaining shooters were divided, by using the "Lewis System" , into 3 classes. Ties were decided on the longest run ( number of targets hit consecutively ) .
"A" class winner with a score of 86 went to Brian Thibodeau, second place went to Leonard Haughn with a score of 85. "B" class Saw both Bernie Nickerson and Colin LeBlanc breaking 73 of their targets, (Colin had the longer string with 14 compared to Bernies sting of 10). "C" class produced a tie of 57 for both Scott Hebb and Gary Melanson, Gary had the longer run with12 to Scotts 10. The Ladies subclass was won by Wanda Starratt shooting a personal best of 75. we wish you many more. The Junior subclass with a score 65 saw another tie between Patrick Melanson and Austin Gillis, both shooters had longest runs of 9, so on to the second longest with Patrict again hitting 9 and Austin breaking 8. The winner of the door prize, a Winchester Wildcat 22LR.was Shirley Oickle. ( Thank to Lequille Country Store for helping us out with the Door Prize).
